Experience:
The six years I spent at Catholic Social Services (now Catholic Charities) working in the foster care system provided me with significant experience and education. I learned about the devastation of emotional, physical, and sexual abuse. Addiction frequently played a pervasive role in these troubled families. It is my belief the consequences of these experiences are significant and do not go away without focused attention through an empathetic counseling relationship.
At Community Resources and Counseling Center, I worked on the sex abuse treatment team. There, I enhanced my skill in treating the effects of emotional, physical, and sexual abuse, as well as anxiety, depression, co-dependency, and personality disorders.
At White Oaks, I learned how to treat addictions and co-existing emotional disorders. I created a state of the art dual diagnosis program.

Publications:
"The Answers Are Within" is a book I wrote describing my experience at White Oaks. It highlights the unique spiritual issues of the individuals involved in successful recovery of addiction and emotional issues. I believe the spiritual perspective can assist anyone in more fully addressing their life issues and creating a higher quality life experience.
